This is a test post. In such, you are browsing this site wondering about this experiment in prison reform. As I was in ReStartup Academy, I can say that it is unique in that it doesn’t focus on reforms as other advocates do. They simply open a door to take passions, skills, and desires to break free from the cycle of recidivism and directs them toward business ideas that benefit the felon and the community. As I recently was released from prison, I see that time spent on positive habits in this class and outside it have me headed the right direction. Four weeks out, and with great family support, I find that the goals of ReStartup Academy are better fulfilled with community support. That means you. Now that you’re here, tell someone about ReStartup Academy. If you own a business and would like to support these efforts, contact RSA and tell them. I got a lead for a job by another inmate related to RSA, and I am blessed by this. As RSA looks to get traction inside and outside prison administration, I ask you to make some calls and write some emails to WA State DOC, RSA and possibly the State legislature. It is difficult to transition, and even with help in the free world, it almost brings me to tears when someone believes in me and is willing to help me. There are more like me. Help us prove our worth to our kids and the community by giving us a chance. Let us know who you are. Let the State and RSA know you’re in.
Write something about yourself. No need to be fancy, just an overview.
